VISIT | Crystal Caves
A visit to Crystal Caves, an amazing natural grotto of stalactites and stalagmites, is a definite addition to your must-see list while in Hamilton. So named because of the crystal clear water that flows through the cave and forms a lake, the azure blue water is so clear that you can actually see the cave’s floor which is 55 feet below the surface. Did you know? The Crystal Caves were accidentally discovered when two local boys were searching for a lost ball in 1907.
EXPLORE | Horse & Carriage Ride
Explore the quaint streets of St. George and surrounding countryside from a delightful horse-drawn carriage. As you make your way past the town’s historical landmarks, well-tended homes, businesses and gardens, you will discover St. George’s unique history and receive insight into what life was like in a simpler time when carriages were the only mode of transportation on the island.
UNWIND | Hideaways Cruise
Take a moment to truly unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Bermuda and its diversity of plant and wildlife during an intriguing water experience. At the helm is an award-winning Bermudian Captain, who will no doubt have you laughing from the moment you step aboard your comfortable tour boat. Your captain will be happy to share his knowledge of the birds and marine life which you’ll observe along the way. Another highlight is Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, which is believed to be one of the oldest cast iron lighthouses in the world.
TOUR | Tuckers Town
While in Hamilton, be sure to tour the exclusive residential area of Tuckers Town and receive an up-close look at pristine estates, with well-manicured lawns and rambling mansions, that’s home to the rich and famous. Real estate in this area begins at around $10 million and culminates in Billionaires Row where you’ll see homes of some of the world’s wealthiest people.
ENJOY | Glass Bottom Boat
Enjoy the remarkable scenery passing by as you sail across azure waters to the amazing Sea Gardens, a habitat for a variety of sea life. As your boat hovers above the wreck of the Vixen, an 18th century sunken ship, you’ll be amazed at the abundance of sea life. Upon returning, you will cruise over the Great Sound and take you past a turtle feeding area, where you may see some Hawk’s Bill and Green sea turtles.
