In just a couple of weeks, Seven Seas Voyager will experience a luxurious transformation as part of our $125 million fleet-wide refurbishment program. She will feature the same elegant style and indisputable attention to detail famously featured on Seven Seas Explorer, providing guests with a consistent look-and-feel, no matter which ship they choose to sail.
Seven Seas Voyager joins Seven Seas Navigator as the second ship to receive a stylish new update to the public spaces and suites onboard, with Seven Seas Mariner scheduled to receive a similar makeover in April 2017. Seven Seas Voyager will emerge from this refurbishment with a sophisticated new look reflective of the pinnacle of luxury.
While the shipboard enhancements extend from bow-to-stern, some of the more notable renovations include:
- Penthouse, Concierge and Deluxe Suites: The largest collection of suites onboard the ship will receive a luxurious new look. The contemporary design accentuates the spaciousness of the suites and the suites include large oversized marble accented bathrooms. A plush padded leather headboard supports the ultra-comfortable Elite Slumber Bed in the bedroom and the sitting area features a stylish sofa with accent table and new artwork.
- Compass Rose: The ship’s flagship restaurant will be grander and more resplendent than ever before. Throughout the spacious, 422-seat dining room are subtle geometric patterns underscored with rich wooden accents and antique bronze highlights. Plush cobalt blue drapes accent oversized windows that run along both sides of the restaurant to provide incredible ocean vistas for diners.
- Chartreuse: Already a guest favorite on Seven Seas Explorer, Chartreuse will make its debut on Seven Seas Voyager as part of the ship’s refurbishment. The restaurant will feature new furnishings, china, flooring and décor elements inspired by the Chartreuse on Seven Seas Explorer. The menu will be identical with specialties such as roasted rack of lamb with rosemary persillade and chickpea fritters, and poached lobster and scallop ballotine, green asparagus and Fava beans.
- La Veranda: Effortlessly chic, La Veranda will feature a fresh and airy design with light grey colored flooring and accent walls that accentuate the natural light coming from floor-to-ceiling windows that encircle the restaurant. In a major structural change, the buffet area will be more open — allowing guests easy access from both sides of the restaurant. A major highlight is a new cook-to-order grill station at the buffet.
- Pool Grill: The outdoor eating area adjacent to the pool deck will be completely refurbished with stylish, yet casual, seating areas that flank both sides of the ship. For the food preparation, a new infrared barbeque grill is planned, so the chefs can prepare savory barbeque specialties such as steaks, chops, lamb and salmon on the open deck.
- Voyager Lounge: Located on Deck 4, the Voyager Lounge is the perfect venue to meet friends and fellow travelers for a pre-dinner cocktail. Inspired by a modern interpretation of a French cabaret the new décor is timelessly elegant, with large champagne-colored chandeliers cascading down over crimson colored loveseats along a wall of oversized windows.
- Reception Area: The first exposure to the renovations will take place in the completely-redesigned reception area, where contemporary and classical design elements seamlessly meet. The reception desk is surrounded with rich wood finishes, plush carpeting and intimate seating areas.
In addition, the refurbishment will also touch Coffee Connection, Connoisseur Lounge, Card Room, boutiques, casino and the Canyon Ranch SpaClub.
We look forward to hosting you aboard our newly enhanced Seven Seas Voyager. What new elements are you most excited to experience?
When does the renovation of Seven Seas Voyager take place.
I’m schedule for sailing in January, will it be done by then or are they starting after that
We really hope that you will enclose the smoking area on the pool deck just as you did on Explorer. We have just returned from a cruise on Explorer and it was wonderful to be able to enjoy the pool deck without fear of smoke from cigarettes and cigars! Please do this same enclosure on Voyager so all of us with smoke allergies can finally enjoy the pool deck.
Yes, I agree.
outdoor barbecue grill on pool deck, sounds wonderful. Also the new Chartreuse restaurant.
Voyager is my favorite. Will be on her in March.
Will it be ready for my December cruise to Singapore??
Will the newly enhanced Seven
Seas Voyager be available for our mid December Singapore to Sydney cruise ??
Looking forward to the new Compass Rose. We were onboard in March for the Asia sailing and so loved the Rose.
We are scheduled to begin a cruise aboard the Voyager on March 23, 2017. Will the renovation be complete by then? Thanks,
like La Veranda changes.
Sounds excellent. Are they also re-furbishing/re-decorating the suites as well i.e the Veranda suites? We were on the Voyager last September/October and we are on the Feb 2,2017 departure from Singapore 18-day cruise to Sydney arriving Feb 18,2017.
Cigar lounge
We love the Voyager – we love em’ all and look forward to travelling on again soon, but first, looking forward to our South America Navigator trip starting in San Francisco in July next year.
Will be the first time on the Voyager in March 2017, after 2 great cruises on the Mariner. The pool grill barbecue sounds exciting. Can’t wait to be on board to enjoy everything Voyager has to offer.
Sounds very encouraging. We were rather disenchanted with the Mariner on our S.America cruise in 2015;particularly the balcony suite was passe. Let’s hope the suites on the Voyager meet expectations.
We have recently returned from an Explorer cruise and were most impressed by the luxury of the ship. In particular, we liked the attention given to the enlarged speciality restaurants, as well as the decor and layout of the penthouse apartment[s]. Surely the other ships, Voyager included, will continue to fall short of the impressive standards set by Explorer?
We are on a cruise on Voyager from Sydney to Auckland on 12th January 2017 – will the renovations be completed by then?
I haven’t seen any replies to the questions above from RSSC. Is there somewhere I might find them? My question is will the upper suites have jacuzzi tubs?
