More to Explore: Chinese Lantern Festival

Enchanting lanterns of every shape illuminate, while traditional lion dances enthrall both locals and visitors alike during the Chinese Lantern Festival. This delightful celebration is observed on the 15th day of the first Chinese lunar month, and traditionally ends the Chinese New Year period.

In 2016 the festival will fall on February 22 – coincidentally during Seven Seas Voyager’s call on Xiamen. Guests aboard this itinerary will feel the electricity in the air as they tour Xiamen’s charming Old Town and see the celebrations take place in Jimei Park with its eclectic architecture and elegant pavilions along Dragon Boat Lake. The festivities continue on board with regional cuisine, special entertainment and a keepsake memento of authentic silk Chinese robes delivered to guests’ suites. Throughout the voyage, guests will enjoy traditional tea time with Asian-style canapés, as well as stir-fry, Dim Sum and Sushi lunches and an Asian cuisine cooking demonstration.

The 16-night Illuminated Skylines & Horizons itinerary departs Hong Kong on February 22, 2016 aboard Seven Seas Voyager®. After sailing 16 glorious nights along the coast of China, she arrives in Tokyo. This voyage features a free 3-night pre- or post-cruise land program, as well as specially-priced Business Class Air upgrade. Mention the promo code ACLF2016.
