Society Spotlight: Carolyn W.

1Having visited over 30 countries and done so safely, securely, and in style aboard Regent Seven Seas Cruises, we are always looking forward to our next voyage.

On our recent voyage aboard Seven Seas Mariner, my husband and I were welcomed by Captain Felice to “our home away from home.” And it truly does feel like home, as we put away our belongings, our cares, and our wallets and simply enjoy Regent’s genuine hospitality and get to know our fellow passengers in an elegant yet relaxed setting.

3On this voyage, we visited the city of Bari, Italy, which is a new port for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, but a very familiar place to our Captain as it is very near his hometown of Corato.

We traveled to Corato and discovered Puglia’s food, history and culture and had a fun-filled day with fellow passengers, officers and crew. We explored mysterious
Castel del Monte (featured on the Euro cent coin), feasted on delicious orrecchiete (Puglia’s famous pasta), and took in folkloric dance, falconry, and the drama of 4Frederick II’s medieval life in a special presentation to Seven Seas Society members that included a walking tour to Captain Felice’s home.

The welcome couldn’t have been warmer or the memories more lasting. Grazie mille Regent!

We were on the same cruise, as our 14th adventure on a Regent ship, and will never forget Captain Felice and the mayor and people of his home town for their wonderful hospitality. We hope Regent will be going back to Bari on a regular basis. Richard and Lois Sabatino, Naples, Florida
