Voyage Spotlight: Caribbean Celebration

The allure of relaxing on an unspoiled beach with nothing more on the day’s agenda than to finish that best seller is hard to resist. And in the Caribbean there are just as many must-see beaches as there are must-read books. This is what makes the Caribbean one of the greatest travel destinations – its seemingly endless supply of powdery sand and crystal-clear water, one more beautiful than the next. And on the 10-night Caribbean Celebration itinerary, guests are able to experience seven of the world’s most beautiful beaches.

Miami, FL – South Beach

Sunny Florida skies, year-round warmth and sunshine, a buzzing nightlife and a mix of cultures define this cosmopolitan city. Yet, its celebrity-drenched South Beach is its claim to fame. Attracting people-watchers from around the world, the beach borders the famed Art Deco District – the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten – Mullet Bay

Mullet Bay is arguably the prettiest beach on this island that is shared by two sovereign states. It fits the picture of a tropical beach: wide and flat with palm trees on the fringe. The moon-shaped beach is next to the only island golf course of the same name, Mullet Bay Golf Course. Therefore, if you are an avid golfer, you may want to play a round of 18-holes before or after your beach escape to get the most out of this paradise.

Castries, St. Lucia – Pigeon Island Beach

One of the best beaches in Castries can be found on the southern side of Pigeon Island. Peaceful and picturesque, the azure water and golden sands entices beachgoers to disconnect from the daily routine and to laze the day away lulled by the breeze on this lovely and unspoiled piece of land.

St. John’s, Antigua – Coconut Grove Beach

Touting 365 beaches, one for every day of the year, Antigua is the quintessential Caribbean destination. One of our many favorites in St. John’s is Coconut Grove Beach, which is located within a pristine cove on Antigua’s northwest coast, making it one of the island’s truly hidden tropical treasures. The crystal blue waters here are calm, warm and utterly inviting.

Gustavia, St. Barts – St. Jean Beach

One of the Caribbean’s true gems, St. Barts is where Riviera sophistication meets Caribbean cool – and nowhere else is that unique intersection more evident than on the soft, white sands of St. Jean Beach, which is conveniently steps away from fine restaurants and shopping.

San Juan, Puerto Rico – Condado Beach

Trendy Condado Beach is where Caribbean chic and modern luxury comes together. Just a few steps away from the elegant oceanfront hotels, beachgoers can watch windsurfers glide across the water from a lounge chair or walk further down the beach to find shaded spots under palm trees at La Ventana al Mar Park.

Nassau, Bahamas – Blue Lagoon Island

One of the best beaches in the Bahamas can be found on Blue Lagoon Island. As soon as your catamaran arrives, you will want to do nothing more than to grab a beach chair and sit back and relax in the sun until you’re ready to swim in the turquoise waters. Make no mistake, there are plenty of activities available, from encounters with Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins to organized games – it’s up to you to do as little or as much as you want.
